Can't decide? Grow back my long hair or keep it short?

I'm fifteen years old and im a male and im Caucasian. I used to be a Metal Head where I had long hair and I head banged. But then I changed my views on life and now i have short hair for a certain reason. But i don't know really if I really want to have short hair, what do you recommend? Long hair or short?
